This is a slight twist on funding. You set a goal e.g. 500 dollars to rent a beach house. Only if people/friends donate 500 then the money goes to the organizer. Otherwise if the goal is not met the money is reimbursed to the supporters....

This software also has a freeware version which converts MS Access databases to MySQL. I have tried it and works perfectly fine.

Check out this free MySQL database client tool SQLYog. I have downloaded it and works good.
The other tool MySQL front is no longer free. So just an alternate for that....

While writing a small app in java, I needed a easy way to move some files around between servers. So I decided to ftp the file since that was the least disruptive way. JVFTP is one of the best libraries I found. Its easy to use, good examples, documentation could be better but I cant complain. The price is right, its free...

SWT or The Standard Widget Toolkit is really a powerful API similar to AWT/SWING, but it uses a rich set of platform native interfaces. It is written in Java with JNI (Java Native Interface) classes calling native windowing APIs. Unlike Java Swing applications, SWT applications look like any native windowing applications and have excellent performance.

This solution was tested on a Windows Platform.
Get this free utility called nircmd. Lets youre running your program with a batch file that has the following contents
java -cp ".;./lib/some.jar" com.some.Class
call this batch file myprog1.bat
now in a second batch file type this
NirCMD exec hide myprog1.bat
When you run the second batch file you will not see the command ...

If you have 2 screens and you want to share your mouse, keyboard with both screens while one runs mac osx and the other runs pc this is the product to get.
It syncs up clipboards, so you can copy paste from your pc and put it on your mac and the mouse scrolls off from your mac screen to your pc screen seemlessly.
Out of the box thinking....
